5/6K visit the ABC Students
Everyone got to school like normal as we checked our opal cards and went on our away. Once we reached our designated spot we huddled up into one line as we walked downstairs to tap off our opal cards. When we made it out the tunnel we took a turn down a narrow street as it led us to ABC Studios (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). We went in as we were welcomed by a tour guide, we put down our bags and were split into two groups. We got to sit in front of a green screen and experience what it was like to be a reporter, we were paired up and got to choose our topic. We read our topic off a script that was written before we got there.
Next we went up an elevator to the radio room, we had to be quiet as there were meetings going on. Our tour guide explained to us how radio audio was recorded and much more. Then the last place we visited was the big prop rooms were TV shows like Playschool was filmed, we also got to see an elephant elevator for bigger props!
Once our tour was over we took some photos and said thank you then left. We got back to school just before recess and enjoyed our last few minutes talking and playing basketball.
Overall, it was a very fun experience going into such a big studio and meeting some well-known people.
