On the 5th of September 4\5A travelled by train to go to the Apple Store in the city. 4/5A have been learning about messages through art and attended the apple store to create our own modern artworks using different types of technologies. The apple representatives made us feel very welcome and supported us throughout the whole experience. We began with free time using the Apple technology such as Smart TV’s, iPads, MacBook’s and iPhones. We were then led upstairs for our 90 minute session. 4/5A were separated into two groups and worked at different stations. One of the stations involved using the iPads and Apple pencils to design different artworks such as graffiti tags and posters using the Procreate App. The second station focused on photography, using daily life materials e.g. cellophane, gold metallic tissue paper, keys and thin cardboard to create a cool pictures with different colours and effects. 4/5A learnt many new skills to help us understand more about how messages are shown through different types of artworks. 4/5A had a great day out in the city, locating murals, graffiti tags and street art and were very thankful for the amazing opportunity and experience at the Apple Store, Sydney.
