There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

We love celebrating and sharing with our community. Throughout the year, parents, carers, and friends are invited to join us at school events. One of our highlights of 2025 was the Hannans Road Rodeo—a wellbeing celebration of collaboration, cooperation, teamwork, and resilience.

The Gardening Club meets each week to plant, care for, and harvest our thriving edible garden. Students learn practical skills, explore sustainable gardening practices, and take pride in watching their hard work grow from seed to plate.

In 2025, author Lisa Shanahan, author of Hark, It’s Me Ruby, Bear and Chook and The Postman’s Dog (among others) inspired our K–6 students, sharing her stories, creative process, and writing tips

Congratulations to our students who proudly represented Hannans Road Public School at the State Athletics Carnival in Homebush. An outstanding effort and a fantastic achievement.

Our Year 6 students proudly exhibited their artwork at the StirrUp Gallery in Marrickville, showcasing their creativity, skill, and unique artistic voices. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to share their work with the wider community.

Each year, our students enjoy an interactive performance from Bell Shakespeare—a highlight of our arts program. These dynamic workshops bring Shakespeare’s stories to life, allowing students to explore language, drama, and storytelling in a truly memorable way.

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of two of our students.

Sydney East Netball Team selection is an exceptional accomplishment, and Skyllah’s success in gaining a place in this highly competitive representative team reflects her dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence on the court.

Amber has also achieved remarkable success, earning selection into a statewide High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) Creative Arts program. Chosen as one of just 60 students from more than 200 audition applicants, Amber’s achievement highlights her outstanding creativity, talent, and passion for the arts.

We congratulate both students on these wonderful accomplishments and look forward to seeing their continued success.
